Joining your choir has definitely been one of the best things I’ve done in my life!
— Choir member

I currently run three choirs in the 'natural voice' tradition - no previous singing experience is necessary, rather a desire to have fun making a good collective sound with other like-minded folk. All choirs explore different musical genres, including original material, groove-based pop and folk traditions from around the world, and we perform regularly in formal concerts and informal community events.

Sing Owt! and Wild Chorus perform at Cockermouth Live, June 2022

We learn songs with 2, 3 and 4-part harmonies mainly by ear, with notation and rehearsal MP3s available online to help you learn your parts. Each choir is a friendly and lively community where newcomers are always welcome, as long as you’re up for a vocal challenge and a good laugh along the way! We learn a lot of the same material, making it easy to collaborate with each other, and other choirs in The Mouthful Way community. Concessions are available for people over 60, students and people in receipt of benefits.
